Fatti illuminare

fino a dove non arrivano gli specchi del guardare

nelle ore bagnate di quando la cecità ci duole.

Fammi tendere l’orecchio alla tua pancia,

fammi ascoltare il ricordo che porta

di quando si frantuma il tormento

in spesse croste d’argilla.

Vorrei

risillabare le parole

a spicchi,

agrumi che dissetano

nell’ansia di prender forma.

Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz?

My friends all drive Porches , I must make amends,

Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,

So Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz?

Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a color t.v.?

Dialing for Dollars is tryin’ to find me.

I wait for the delivery each day until three,

So lord, won’t you buy me a color t.v.?

Oh Lord,  won’t you buy me a night on the town?

I’counting on you, please don’t let me down;

Prove that you love me and buy me the next round,

Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a night on the town?

In a surrealist year

of sandwichmen and sunbathers

dead sunflowers and live telephones

house-broken politicos with party whips

performed as usual

in the rings of their sawdust circuses

where tumblers and human cannonballs

filled the air like cries

when some cool clown

pressed an inedible mushroom button

and an inaudible Sunday bomb

fell down

catching the president at his prayers

on the 19th green

O it was spring

of fur leaves and cobalt flowers

when cadillacs fell thru the trees like rain

drowing the meadows with madness

while out of every imitation cloud

dropped myriad wingless crowds

of nutless nagasaki survivors

And lost teacups

full of our ashes

IMM013(take & go)

S: if you smile at me I will understand,’cause that is

something everyone does in the same language.

D: I can see by your coat,my friend, you’re from the

other side. there’s just one thing I’ve got to know,

can you tell me please, who won?

S: say, can I have some of your purple berries?

D: Yes, i’ve been eating them for six or seven weeks

now, haven’t got sick once.

S: probably keep us both alive.

Wooden ships on the water very free, and easy.

You know the way it’s supposed to be.

Silver people on the shoreline let us be.

Talkin’  ’bout very free,,and easy.

Horror grips us as we watch you die.

all we can do is echo your anguished cries.

Stare as all human feelings die.

We are leaving, you don’t need us.

Got take a sister, then, by the hand.

Lead her away from this foreign land.

Far away, where we might laugh again.

We are leaving, you don’t need us.

And it’s a fair wind, blowin’ warm out of the south

Over my shoulders. Guess I’ll set a course and go.
